MSN - ninemillion spaces
In trying to find new ways to raise awareness of the difficulties refugee children face in their daily lives, MSN Live Spaces (http://spaces.live.com)), Microsoft’s blogging network, created http://nine-million.spaces.live.com. Launched in November 2006, its aim is to build word-of mouth awareness about ninemillion.org, to reach out and connect with the world’s youth. This kind of interactivity and online community-building will encourage and enable youth to engage with the campaign and its cause, helping create a lasting success of the ninemillion.org campaign. We need as many of you as possible to get involved to help spread the word! Each and every one of us can make a difference. Help us to get nine million people -- one for each refugee child-- to tell the world that they care about these children. http://nine-million.spaces.live.com provides a heartfelt online forum where refugee children and children from around the world can connect, blog and communicate with one another. Nine-million.spaces.live.com offers:
Check it out! Start by adding your comments to the refugee children’s blogs. Find out how they live, what they like, and what they do in their day-to-day lives. Click on the counter to add your support. Sign the guest book and add yourself as a friend of ninemillion. Tell your friends and family about this site! If you like the campaign, download the banner to your Space (don’t have one? See below!) And please give us your feedback on how we can improve the Space. Not sure what a Windows Live Space is? A WL Space is your own personal webpage. It lets you keep an online diary (blog), display your photos, tell your friends and family what you are interested in and much more! You can personalize the way the page looks and add gadgets (like horoscopes or the weather report where you live). If you don’t already have a Space it’s really easy to make one - take 5 minutes to take the tour here: http://edu.live.com/tour-spaces.html and learn how. It’s a great way to keep in touch with people you care about. Here’s the link if you want to create your own Space once you’ve seen the tour http://spaces.live.com/. It’s really easy to do!
